The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be responsible for raising the profile of the CEO by providing strategic support with content, external relations and digital media relations support.
This is an important role at World Animal Protection where you will oversee, plan and support the CEO’s engagement with external stakeholders, to build and increase engagement and raise the CEO’s profile. The core functions include drafting speeches, blogs, articles and briefings as well as managing the CEO’s key digital social media communication channels. In addition, you will work closely with the CEO to oversee and represent the CEO in written correspondence with internal and external stakeholders and ensure Country Office engagement during CEO visits.

Requirements
You will have substantial experience of supporting C-Level Executives, preferably in a non-profit organisation, with experience in communications or partnership development. You will have excellent copy writing skills and have had responsibility for developing first drafts of speeches, articles, briefings for senior leaders.

You will need strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, whilst managing external and internal relations for the CEO. You will be an organised and highly resourceful team-player who can work just as effectively independently, and have a pro-active solutions-based approach.

Whilst good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), MS Teams, Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media channels is essential, it would also be desirable to have an understanding of Microsoft SharePoint. Experience of, or understanding of, working in a global organisation would also be useful.
